Historic Oak Roof Reconstruction

Part of the roof structure of a large Grade II Listed property was found to be in a heavily degraded condition.

The elm and oak structure was deemed beyond technical repair, with many members brittle and degraded due to water ingress and beetle activity, many members could no longer be strength graded.

The roof structure has undergone a phased replacement with a new traditionally detailed ‘like for like’ oak ‘A’ frame roof structure, that will serve the property for the next several centuries.
