Amesbury Abbey Bridge

Following a detailed inspection of a historic bridge, which is Grade II Listed in its own right, a series of sensitive and sympathetic repairs were detailed to preserve this structure. Resurfacing works were carried out to the deck to prevent water ingress, along with repointing of the arches and handrails, recapping of the stone gate posts and refurbishment of the historic gates. Preservation works were carried out to the surrounding banks to tackle ongoing erosion.

The complications that come with working in and around a water course and on a Grade II Listed structure called for this particular repair scheme to be extremely sensitive to the materials and surrounding.
